My name is Adam and I’m a Go player from California’s Bay Area. I’m grateful for the opportunities the AGA provides to further explore this beautifully complex game, and I hope to contribute to the growth and development of the AGA community as the next At-Large Director. You might know me as sunship from the BenKyo, NAOL, or Go Magic Leagues. 

As your representative, I will communicate about ongoing projects and bring your ideas to the AGA board for discussion. I have many years of experience with committees, councils, and clubs. I know how to recruit for involvement, how to listen to suggestions and concerns, and am eager to put ideas into action.

I am continuously engaging with others online and I know what Clossius’s lessons, BenKyo’s League, and Strugglebus, Contraband and Dwyrin’s YouTube videos bring to the Go community. I’ve also experienced the joy of playing in-person at tournaments at the East Bay and San Francisco Go Clubs. We may play on different platforms, but we all play the same game.

I want to see the AGA more engaged with the broader Go community, with increased outreach and communication. The AGA should support and promote streamers and other wide-reaching personalities to foster growth in the AGA and Go communities.

By combining your ideas with my passion for this beautiful game, I know we can build this association in a way we can continue to be proud of. I look forward to working with you to shape the future of the AGA.
