My name is Trevor Morris, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the East Coast position on the board of the American Go Association (AGA). For more than four decades, I've devoted myself to the game of Go and have passionately participated in its community. I've witnessed its evolution firsthand, from my early days as one of the youngest players at the first US Go Congress, to my tenure as president of the Western MA Go Club.

In our rapidly evolving digital world, I recognize the immense role technology can play in the AGA. Leveraging my experience as a seasoned software developer and manager, I am eager to support Gurujeet's work on modernizing our website. Having run a Go Twitch stream during the pandemic, I've seen firsthand how technology can connect us, making our community more vibrant and inclusive. I’m excited about further leveraging platforms like Discord, Twitch, and social media, while also investing in virtual clubs and hybrid tournaments.

Transparency and communication are paramount to any organization. I am committed to discovering innovative ways to engage our volunteers and members. One person can do a lot, but many people working together can do so much more. I look forward to working with the Go community to empower people with innovative ideas to participate and help spread the love of the game.

Promoting Go isn't solely about increasing our membership numbers.
