Colorado State Championship to be held Saturday

The 2023 Colorado State Championship will be held this Saturday, October 28th, beginning at 9:00am. The venue is the Eloise May Library, located at 1471 S Parker Rd, Denver CO 80231.

“The top prize will be a Kaya floor board, and the Colorado resident with the best record will be named the 2023 Colorado State Champion,” reports Solomon Smilack. “There will be numerous other prizes for both the Open (no handicap) and Handicap divisions, plus a Best Costume prize for early Halloweeners!”

If you are unable to register, please email the Tournament Director 
rich_newman@ymail.com with each player's Name and AGA ID#, and plan to pay for registration at the event: $10 for adults ($5 for non-players staying for lunch), and free for students.

This is an AGA-rated event, so every player must be an Active AGA member. You can renew your membership HERE or register a new account with the discount code NEWDMGC for 50% off.

There will be four rounds of play. Time settings will be Japanese Byo-Yomi with 30min of Main time, plus an additional 5 overtime periods of 30sec each.

The top three finishers in each category (Dan / SDK / DDK) will be able to select prizes from the prize pool, and the title of 2023 Colorado State Champion will go to the Colorado resident that finishes highest in the Open division.
