“The AGF kids site project is moving forward,” reports American Go Foundation president Terry Benson. “We just had a professional actor record voice overs for the Go lessons.” And, on the international front, Benson says “the AGF is covering the airfare for two AGA professionals to be the pros at the upcoming 5th IberoAmerican Go Congress, a payback for decades when we were helped by the generosity of the Asian associations.”
These are the kinds of programs American Go E-Journal Managing Editor Chris Garlock is raising funds for with his upcoming AGF Thames Walk; click here to add your support.
“We just reached my original goal of $1,500 so I’m going to raise the bar and go for $2,500 to support even more great AGF programs,” said Garlock, noting that the walk itself is still the original 200 miles.
“Next year the AGF hopes to continue to provide more scholarships for kids and young players to attend the US Go Congress,” adds Benson. “We depend on generous donations in the fall and annual drives to cover that.”
