Getting to the Congress

Now that the registration is open (over 100 attendees already registered with over 4 months before the event!!!) and housing sign-up is also available on the web site (gocongress.org) … it is now time to plan on how you will get to the Southwestern University in Georgetown.  For the vast majority of you, that will include a flight into Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Arrival there should be on Saturday July 12th.  We would strongly recommend you find flights arriving late morning or early afternoon.

Southwestern University is about a 45 minute drive from the airport. We are working hard to schedule buses and/or shuttles that will be available for that trip at a reasonable cost to you. We plan to have greeters at the airport to help point you to the next available ride and get you to the Congress hassle free.

Once at the venue, you will need to check-in to get your badge and welcome bag…as well as getting settled in your housing.  The goal would be to get you through the process quickly and efficiently so that you can have time to socialize with old and new friends, have dinner and make it to our opening ceremony.

If arriving at the airport after 3:00PM, time may be tight to get you to the campus, checked-in, and settled in time for dinner and our Opening Ceremony that evening.

Details on the transportation from the airport will be provided as we solidify the options.  Of course, taxi and ride-shares will also be available, but likely at a much higher cost.

And yes, we are also working on the most efficient way of getting you all back to the airport at the end of the congress...though we will be sad to see you go!

Keep an eye on our web-site for more details about the transportation options as we finalize those plans. We are getting really excited about seeing you in Texas this summer. It’s going to be BIG!
