Sakata Eio
The only news I could find for this month was Ishida's Hon'inbō defense. After going behind to Sakata 2-0 last month he managed to win the third game on June 9-10. However, Sakata promptly won the 4th game for a massive 3-1 lead on June 16-17. Finally, on the verge of victory, Sakata made what he called "the worst mistake of my career" on June 26-27, ending the month with a 3-2 lead. (Game records: Game Three, Game Four, Game Five.)
