Western Mass Go Club Sees In-Person Comeback

Chris Garlock | Published on 2/27/2026
"Ever since Covid, the Western Mass Go club has never had the same in person participation that it had before," reports Eric Osman. "I sometimes wonder if people got too used to playing online and not having to drive even 20 minutes to play go. However, we are happy to report that in the last several weeks, participation has been picking up. I truly believe the beauty of this deep game we call go is best experienced in person. This photo was taken from our meeting tonight (2/26). We meet every Thursday night at the blue wall food court area of UMass in Amherst, Massachusetts. If you are in town, please join us. We love both beginners and experienced players equally."
