Exciting March Events from AGHS! Weekly Go, STT, and more...

Winter’s over, and the AGHS is starting the Spring season with a bang! New activities, new tournaments, and new programs are coming in hot – we promise you’ll have enough time to attend them all.

 

2026 Spring Weekly Go Problems.

 

 

To get the ball rolling, we’re kicking off with our Spring Weekly Go Problems. The season will continue for 10 weeks, and each week, participants can solve one of five Go problems at their chosen difficulty level. The problems are designed for players of all ranks, ranging from 15K to 4D, so everyone is welcome to join!


If you’re interested in participating, fill out this form by March 15th, 2026, before 11:59 PM PST. 

Remember to read all instructions before submitting, and keep in mind that no late submissions will be accepted!

 


 

AGHS 2026 School Team Tournament.


Continuing on, the AGHS will be hosting our 2026 School Team Tournament. All North American players under the age of 19 will be eligible, but must form a team of three (with one substitute player) to participate. The tournament will be split up into four rounds, with two taking place on March 15th, and the other two taking place on March 22nd. Register using this form by March 12th, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. The AGHS Go Academy (10-week lessons)

 

 

Lastly, we’ll be introducing one of our newest programs, The AGHS Go Academy!

What it is: The AGHS Go Academy is a free 10-week introductory program designed for beginners. High-dan AGHS officers will guide participants through the fundamentals of Go, providing structured lessons and hands-on practice.
When: Saturdays at 10:00 AM PT, from March 21 to May 30
Where: Online via Zoom
Eligibility: Anyone under the age of 18 residing in North America, where members of the AGHS will be giving free lessons each week, covering a variety of Go topics.

The first lesson will take place on March 21st, 2026, 1:00 PM-2:00 PM EST/10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PST.  We have a beginner and intermediate course, so whether you’re a newcomer or a veteran, we encourage you to check it out. To register for our program, use this form.
