China came in second, followed by Taiwan, Japan, the US, Mexico and Russia.
The key game was Wei's fifth-round match against Hu YuChing from China;
Hu led slightly from the beginning, but Wei hung in and succeeded in turning the game around. "I am very happy to win the KPMC," said Wei, "and I will prepare with my best for next year’s pro qualification tournaments."
