Get Paid to Teach Kids

Paul Barchilon | Published on 10/27/2024
The American Go Foundation is launching a new program for teachers with initial payments of $50 per class. The goal is to start classes for kids under 18 in as many locations as possible. Both experienced teachers and regular players who want to work with kids are eligible to apply. The start up offer is good for four sessions, after which the payments shift to a dollar amount per child.  Teachers who are not receiving any other funding for a class will receive $5 per head, up to a maximum of $75 per class.  Teachers who are being paid from any other source can apply for a supplemental payment of $2 per head.  Teachers who have completed the AGA Teacher Certification program are encouraged to apply, as are parents, regular players who want to start working with kids, and anyone who feels they can help motivate new students.  The AGF will review all applicants and make selections based on experience, motivation, skills, and merit.
