In Memoriam: Jeff Shaevel

According to his Facebook page, Jeff Shaevel has died. An October 1 post there reads “It is with deep sadness and a
heavy heart that I have to let Facebook friends and family know that Jeff passed away on Friday Sept. 13th. He will be dearly missed.” An AGA stalwart, Shaevel directed the early Pro Qualifiers with his usual precision and elan. An accomplished amateur actor and cook, he won second place in the Toastmasters International Speech Contest in Columbus, Ohio in 1985. Information on a memorial service will be shared as it’s available.
