The River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation hall was filled with family and friends of longtime Go organizer Haskell Small on Saturday, September 14. Dozens of Go players joined in the heartfelt remembrances of Haskell "Hal" Behrend Small, 75, who passed away on June 1. “Hal cherished connections,” said former AGA president Phil Straus, “through Go, through music, and with family and friends. May his memory live on in games we play, in notes we hear, and in all our connections.” Afterwards, some gathered at the National Go Center to play a few games and toast Hal’s memory.
