The Japan Go Federation, encompassing the Nihon Ki-in, Kansai Ki-in, and the Japan Pair Go Association, has initiated a crowdfunding campaign aimed at spreading awareness of both Go and Pair Go. The initiative also seeks to strengthen and train Japanese professionals to engage in the global Go community.
To entice supporters, the campaign offers a variety of exclusive rewards. These include special fans crafted by Japanese women’s titleholders Rina Fujisawa, Aisami Ueno, and Risa Ueno; a special tour of the Nihon Ki-in; unique Tsumego shikishi created by Tsumego artists; face-to-face teaching games or Pair Go games with a Japanese professional Go player of your choice; and personalized shikishi or paper fans with your favorite words.
Through this project, the Japan Go Federation aims to promote the Japanese Go community and share its cultural richness with the world. “The Federation welcomes and greatly appreciates any support and encouragement,” says the Federation’s Chika Mochizuki.
