With summer fast approaching, organizers of the 2024 U.S. Go Congress -- July 13-21, in Portland, OR -- are urging attendees to make sure you have booked your housing. “We still have plenty of availability in the room block of Dorm Rooms through Portland State University and the Hotel Rooms through the on-campus University Place Hotel,” they say. “However, starting May 15 both places may start releasing some of these rooms to be booked by folks visiting Portland for other reasons. If you want to lock in a place to stay at our discounted rate we strongly recommend booking as soon as possible! All the details are available on the Housing page.
Both of these housing options are within walking distance of the Congress venue (PSU's Smith Memorial Student Union building). The dorms are the most affordable housing option, coming in at roughly $70 a night for two beds (so that is $35 a person if you share the room), and the dorms are tax exempt. University Place Hotel offers great rates on various room types as well, and includes continental breakfast with all stays (room rates are roughly $113 a night plus tax). Note that University Place Hotel booking must be made by calling them directly and saying you are with the US Go Congress in order to get the discounted rate - (866)-845-4647.
“Housing booking is separate from event registration, so if you have already registered for Congress but haven't booked housing we really encourage you to act now and avoid having to find more expensive accommodations later! Summer in Portland is a beautiful time, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Portland for the 40th Annual US Go Congress!”
